Starting a few days ago, Talkback started automatically logging me out every time I strayed away to earn a living for an hour or three. Nobody but me has access to my computer, and I have always remained logged in more or less permanently.
I can't find anywhere in the controls to say "leave me logged in unless I log out myself", and it's becoming annoying. What's the deal?

I've had a problem staying logged in since they did the update City. I can log on in the morning and not have to log in for the rest of the day, but the next morning I have to log in again (on the destop and the laptop)! It really is a pain!

Well I hate to say this people, but when you stay logged in like that for a long period of time you start to use up TB's bandwidth, which could make it hard for the TB people to post new articles and when they post new articles they probably shut down the system temp. to update it and everything else that has to do with TB but hey what do I know I'm suppose to be ignorant and have no credibility from now on no matter what the subject is according to JuneW

I never have to log in or out unless using a computer away from home. When that happens I cannot log in because I do not know my password. The old password does not work.
Last year when I purchased a new computer the mods had to log me in.
city - contact the mods about the problem.

I've not been having any problems. Not to rub it in your face or anything, but just sharing my non-experiences. I don't have the window open all the time, but when I close it, I don't have to log back in. Does that make sense? Being the non-techie here.

Safari on a Mac.
Or, are your cookies cleaned out on a regular basis? Did you lose your cookies?
I'm using Firefox 3 on WinXP, and I'm still logged in every time I connect to TalkBack.

I use a Mac with Firefox or your basic PC Explorer depending on my needs and what computer I'm near at work. We've got a million of them

at my disposal and beck and call. Comes in handy one or the other depending on the research and searching that I need to be doing.
At work, one of my coworkers is using Vista on a next-to-nuclear powered PC and various internet providers. I tried out the computer and I was really impressed with Vista.
I've read and heard a lot of horror stories about Vista but I have to tell you that I found it fun to use and coworkers says it is very stable on the almost nuclear computer. From my vantage point, it seems like you have to have a killer computer to run Vista without problems. Anyone here have any experience with Vista?
Like I said, I use a Mac and a PC and as far as Macs go, I owned one of the very first ones in the 80s and have loved them ever since. I had to learn to use a PC out of necessity and travel back and forth between the two depending on the applications and work I'm doing. So it's not a Mac versus PC deal for me. Just wondering if anyone has installed Vista on a less than top of the line PC and what the fuss is about.

If anyone is still having troubles staying logged in please try to clear your cookies for talkback.lancasteronline.com. One of the changes was the cookie domain, so you could have conflicting cookies that are causing the problem for you.

Conflicting Cookies. Man, I hate when that happens. Hydrox or Oreo, Hydrox or Oreo? No conflict for me. I eat 'em both!

It's happened to me now, a few times over the last several days.
Today I haven't been logged out yet.

C'mon, you seriously cannot compare Hydrox to the exquisiteness that is a DoubleStuff Oreo.

Much prefer Ginger Snaps; Archway or Seltzers either is fine with me!!
Tootsie, are you using a lap top? The logging out happens on my lap top only, not on the reg. computer.

I love gingersnaps. But, my all time favorite is Toll house recipe with mint chocolate chips in it. Its better than....well, you know.
I am using a laptop. But I tried the desktop, and it makes me sign in at least once a day too. Even with no cookies

I bet Laverne and Shirley would know the answer.
