I was downtown this evening and noticed that the Steak-Out was empty and the building up for sale. Does anyone know if they just closed up for good, or did they relocate? Also, has anyone been to Dan The Man's barbeque? I could go for some good bar-b-q.

Ate at The Brickyard tonight. Noisy, but the food was really good!

not sure if they closed or not. I know the owners and it's been for sale for a while

Years ago I was told a story that the original SteakOut business was stolen by the landlords of the building who increased the rents so much as to make it impossible for the operators to continue. Is this an urban legend or is it true. If true, are the current owners those nefarious owners of the building?

I heard the same story. I went to high school with the original owners and the ones who were supposed to have done that. There was always some bad blood between the 2 as far back as then, 28 years ago.
