You'd better get some rabbit chow soon....I'm not sure they can live on only lettuce from the store. If I recall correctly, rabbits have rather sensitive systems.

I'd recommend that you separate them, or you'll need more cages. You know what they say about rabbits. And it's true, they don't need Viagra.

Oh, they came w/ pellets and timothy, etc. I did go on line and check out more of ttheir diet, though. We had one years ago, and gave away the hutch, darn it! I hope they hop away!! lol_stun.gif

the nice thing about this is...use the crock pot in the moring, and by dinner time the little darlings will be succulent!

and make it a bottle of wine. 2 cups for the meal...the rest for the cook! biggrin.gif

My yellow lab, has been watching over them like a wet hen. She's constantly licking their noses. She loved our kittens, too, almost drowned them w/ her licking. I forgot how fagile the young ones feel when you hold them, so we don't let her near them in the open, she'd hurt them by accident. lol_whistle.gif

Bunnies are cute, but they grow into big rabbits that poop a lot and smell. There were hunters in my family when I was growing up and eating rabbit was not unusual. My mother always fried it like chicken, then put it into a iron pot, added real cream, covered and baked for a couple of hours. She prepared pheasant the same way. You just had to be careful that no buckshot was missed during the dressing process.

Funny you should say that. The first thing my husband told April and her boyfriend was, at least these won't have any buck shot in them when we fry them up!! mad.gif blink.gif laugh.gif
oh geez
and you can always use the pelt for a muff (handwarmer for those who think I'm talking crude) and a matching hat!

oh,,,,I'm just kidding..they are cute. sort of like babies...and kittens...then they grow to be teens and cats!!!

In Marietta they have varius colors of "wild" rabbits...or they did last Summer. Someone left their pets out a few [rabbit] generations ago [that is not very long, actually]. Now there is variety all over the place. Does anyone know if this variety of colors has shown up this year? I guess we are off topic but we were discussing rabbits.
