Full Version: Recipe Forum Request

Petition the LOL powers that be:

can we please have a forum, a section, a general location that we can place our recipes to share with each other?

This request was made before and I actually started a talkback cookbook thread, but then some of us bad apples spoiled it for the rest of us and the threads were set on mandatory lockdown after 48 hours of inactivity.

Recently there has been a resurgence of interest in sharing recipes so once again I feel it is my civic duty to my fellow enthusiasts of epicurian delights here on LOL talkback to request a special section where by we can assemble for this common interest sad.gif

thank-you for your time

Sounds like a great idea! Plus, add a smiley drooling.

If this were a democracy, I'd vote for instituting a recipes thread. But it's not, so how abou it, Top Dawg? lol_king.gif

and if abuse is a concern perhaps 'permissions' could be added. I see the blogs never close down wink.gif

A separate section dedicated to recipes is a GREAT idea! You'd probably see Why? in here more often if I were able to tell her "hey honey there's a new spinach appetizer thread" wink.gif

Good idea on the Recipe Forum

Time to get rid of the 'Talk Of The Town' section - not too popular

Maybe seperate local and national politics sections also

twinmom
Put me down for a vote for a recipe thread and as I am a terrible cook, I think my family would vote for some new recipes too!

I'd be happy to re-post my "Magic Cereal" recipe (I can hear the groans from the long time talkbackers now. smile.gif

Seriously, LNP, you might be surprised at how many people who move away look for good local recipes. Heck, you could do a talkback recipe "pamphlet" and make some money off it! I know it won't just be Lancaster county recipes... but heck, who better than a Lancaster countian to ask about a good recipe for rivel soup (not just some wannabe over at epicurious)! I bet some posters' families have been in the Lancaster area for a long time and they might be able to toss in a few good mennonite or brethren family favorites.

I have pulled the one string I have at LNP in regards to this request, and no, it didn't involve anything "feminine". wink.gif Hopefully my friend's support for this new category will help sway the outcome. Or alternately we could all just go to a freaking restaurant and talk abut food.

Oh, now there is an idea. We all pick places to eat. Make up a generic little evaluation sheet to fill out. We could be the TB Food Critics giving ratings for local eatery's. I will gladly accept bribes for free meals!

We could run AAA, Zagat & Forod's out of business. Who needs 5 stars when you could get 5 Buggies from us!

I'll post my chili and zupa toscana recipes whenever I find them. The soup is better than what you can get at the OG in my opinion.
