Three people are homeless after a late-night fire in Lancaster. The fire gutted the rear of the home in the 600 block of Manor Street.Investigators are still looking for a cause. Lancaster Fire Chief Jeff Pierce said his department could have responded faster if it had more firefighters. Pierce said six, or about half the normal number of city firefighters, responded to the fire on Manor Street."There was other calls that were taking place and then the structure fire came in. At that point, we didn't have crews that were prepared to arrive in a timely manner," Pierce said. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Where were the other 6 firefighters? What other calls?
