Have a great birthday Kate. I remember for my 50th the neighbor left me drive his vet. One of the nicest presents ever. I think after 50 you stop counting how old you are and start thinking how many years till retirement. Oh yea.

BigMac - thank you for the Guinness. I was the only one at the table drinking a beer. My son and bf both drank non-alcoholic beverages.

The bf surprised me by finally meeting most of my family, giving me flowers and jewelry for my birthday.

I feel very blessed to have wonderful family and friends.

Turning 50 isn't so bad when you're surrounded by loved ones.

Sorry ladies, no hanky panky last night. He was extremely tired and had to drive home to York from Annie Bailey's. I was home and asleep by 10:30pm.

Boring end to a beautiful evening. But that's okay, patience is definitely a virtue and absence does make the heart grow fonder.
