I listened to this call on the scanner and it didn't sound good from the very beginning.

Condolences to all involved... (IMG:http://talkback.lancasteronline.com/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

Obviously the driver didn't know what he was doing nor could he handle the 3hp go-kart. He should not have been driving if it was too much horsepower for him. Also I understand Weavers did not give them permission to ride there so we have several issues here, trespassing and negligent handling of the cart. This accident should not have happened. That parking lot is very large,,,how do you hit someone with a go-kart in it ? Unless you have your own property to ride you should not own an ATV, go-kart, etc etc.

I just want to express how deeply sorry I am for the family's loss. I had the pleasure of knowing this little boy and he was just a great kid. He will always hold a special place in my heart. I will continue to keep the family in my thoughts and prayers.

I assume that's because the child died at Hershey Medical Center.

Ever try a big cup of STF up. I suggest it for you miss.

This is horrible, my condolences. AS a kid we rode in the parking lots down at Green field industrial park. We were lucky we never had an accident in our go-carts.

Seriously guys, watch what you say.

I'm deeply sad after this. Avery is my girlfriend's cousin. My thoughts and prayers goes to the Woods family and to all the family members.

I don't think they should of rode the cart in the parking lot at Weavers Market in the 1st place. They could of gone to a huge open area but instead they rode on the parking lot. I wonder if Avery was on the go-cart or if he walked infront of it when the go-cart was in motion.

No point in making hurtful assumptions. There really are not a lot of details provided. And a child is dead.

May he rest in peace and the family find peace.

If the accident hadn't happened then they probably would've had a fun day together. The family has lost a child and another was hurt. The driver was related to the child. I believe they're all suffering, including the one driving, without having judgement placed.

I'm sure they're suffering enough without your judgement on here. My prayers are with the families.

The family is, of course, devasted. Avery was a great boy. The driver, however, is not at all remorseful. He is without a doubt the most self centered, irresponsible person I have ever known, and has shown his true self on many occasions. There is gross negligence involved in this death and all he will say is "it was an accident".

After reading through the custody case on the Prothonotary's website, it certainly gives the appearance of some past issues.
