Yeah - it is about country. It is about you being the continuation of George W. Bush, and the need to keep the country safe from such a thing. Once was enough. And at least he had the good graces not to turn and walk away.

The continuation of George Bush?

Nate Silver:

Palin is the most Bushlike of all the Republicans who have emerged as contenders for the national ticket: the smirkiness, the smugness, the regional accent (although Palin's, I assume, is not feigned), the malapropisms, the contempt for media (both the people who cover it and their mediums), the express deference to religious faith, the occasionally undeniably likable moments of joviality and regular guy/gal-ness, the tendency toward self-dealing, the bulldog/barracuda mentality, the comfort in one's own skin (Palin was crippled when she lost hers late in the campaign), the (apparent) preference for isolation in [Wasilla, Crawford], and last but not least, the no-holds-barred, no-apologies conservatism.

The people who like Palin most are the people who liked Bush most.

OMG Gil - you are so full of yourself!!!

Sarah Palin is bringing to light the ridiculousness and over zealousness of the media who relentlessly attack her. Yes, she does bring some of it on by herself however the liberal media used her in an effort to promote Obama and Co.

Did she ask for Letterman to make a national joke regarding her family or herself?

Come on, comparing the Governor of Alaska to a "slutty flight attendant", which in itself is a huge insult to flight attendants, is over the top and inappropriate.

Where is the fairness in making fun of her innocent, youngest child?

The media has gone too far and it's about time someone stood up to them.

She is bold and brave to do what she is doing.

As for rebuilding the GOP - her comments on that are exactly right on. The GOP is so far gone from it's original premise and needs fresh blood to reinvigorate the party.

Sarah Palin is not another George Bush. Period!

Not a chance of that happening.

True that, then the Lancaster News Paper might actually be worth something; or at least tell a true story!

Happy 5th!

Victimhood is a terrible thing to waste. (IMG:http://talkback.lancasteronline.com/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

Now she is threatening to sue anyone who says she may be indicted.
If she is indicted who will she blame. The woman appears to be seriously nuts.
Calling Dr. Freud , calling Dr. Freud.

What kind of dingbat says she is quitting because she isn't a quitter.

As George Will pointed out, she can't even claim to have been a one term governor.
Will also was bemused why so much focus is on this woman when there are new and smart faces in the Republican party who are far smarter and far more qualified.
The focus is on her because she positions herself to be the focus of attention.
And then claims victimhood.
Calling Dr. Freud......

Funny thing, an FBI spokesperson say there is no investigation going on.

What happened to the pit bull with lipstick? Maybe she left a red ring somewhere on Mark Sanders? (IMG:http://talkback.lancasteronline.com/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

Too clever by far.

At the end of the day the O-bots are reduced to sexist insults.
