Nursing home are one of the biggest rip-offs!!!
Now they want to cry foul over mediciad cuts???
I had my 90 something Mother in a home for a stay .....
They charged us $25 a day for a wheel chair!!
She was in the home for a little over 150 days ... Do the math ....

Why would your residents be sicker than ever before?
Hospitals are discharging patients (the elderly/disabled) to nursing homes much sicker than they used to. It happens all the time. Patients you used to see only in intensive care units are now being cared for in nursing homes; some even in private homes. It all has to do with reimbursement issues. The faster a hospital gets you out of a hospital, the more money that goes into the hospital's pocket.
