Don't let my posting of the stupid Billy Bob thing the other day dissuade you -- watch this!!!
Dear Pirate Jenny:
In the future I would very much appreciate a post like that carrying a *WARNING* label that viewing will involve the need for copious amounts of tissues.
I am unapologetically blubbering all over my poor laptop.
You have been unsuccessful in making me cry on the other threads, so you played a fast one on me, eh, P.J.???

The British IDOL has a different feel than the American one for sure. We don't get the channel. Who is that blonde woman judge showing everyone her armpits in the clip?

That was far and away the best solo performance that I have ever heard. I think we should follow this lady very closely. I would LOVE to see her perform in the future.

Can't imagine the fear standing there alone with all those people there to judge. Thanks for posting this!! One thing for sure...I wouldn't want to be the one to have to perform after her!
God Bless America, please.

It's a lesson, however, that there are a LOT of talented people out there. Just because people have a career doesn't mean they're necessarily more talented than many who don't. It can be a matter of luck, looks, ambition, chutzpah, timing, opportunity, all of those things, with talent somewhere in the mix and not even necessarily at the top of the list. (This is a pet peeve of mine in Lancaster, where as far as singers go, anyway, people are really impressed by LOUD.)

Yea, Im the one who mentioned AMERICAN IDOL. I thought some time after that it was Britain's version of AMERICA'S GOT TALENT, not IDOL. (big duh!) Thanks for clearing it up.

Thanks for clarifying. That would explain why she was even allowed on. American Idol is not simply a singing competition or else there would be no age requirement. It's, unfortunately, based just as much on looks and appearance as talent. Seriously, David Hasselhoff was a judge of a talent competition?
