It's entirely possible that Herr signs shortly before the season or during the first month. That's OK. That's the whole point of this league. If you sign a bunch of indy lifers who will stay here all year, you end up with a team like Lancaster had in 2007. That was absolutely miserable. The key is striking a balance and I find it hard to believe the Barnstormers could sign a better third baseman than Herr. So you sign him and see where it goes.

Whether Aaron makes it to Opening Day or not, I agree that for some players, this is exactly what Indy Ball is all about.

I'll enjoy seeing him play here.
