You got to give it to PML, she isn't afraid to make her opinion know.
She's the best thing that Phillip Morris has going, and they never even heard of her.

Well it looks like you guys are going to get your way. Some dumb a** senator with nothing better to worry about wants to get rid of all the exemptions for the smoking ban.
Funny how Florida where it is mostly warm outside has had the same kind of ban as we do with exemptions for many years and everyone accepts it yet here in PA and Lancaster in particular you guys just are not satisfied and while you call me nuts at least I was willing to compromise.
You guys who live around LGH or the Health campus should really be happy. Now when you sit outside all you breathe in is exhaust fumes from buses, route 30 traffic and Y&S and Kellogs smoke stacks
Clean air at its best!

I am beginning to think Paula gets paid by Lancaster Newspapers!
If she doesn't, she should! They keep publishing her...
Regarding tax on fast food...I don't go to fast food restaurants, and we currently live in a state that would tax air if they could, so I may be wrong in this, But isn't there a tax on all food from restaurants, fast food or not?

In PA, there is sales tax on the food sold in restaurants. The beer/wine/liquor is not subject to sales tax since the state liquor tax is paid by the restaurant when it is purchased.

And I know my ship won't be coming in
But as I lay me down to take my rest
I see that it's just dust in the wind

There is actually a SIN tax on alcohol but nowhere near the tax on cigs AND fast food while subject to 6% is not suibject to forcing obese people to pay for their addiction to Mickey "d"s like smokers are taxed for their addiction.
Again make it fair or get rid of the cigarette taxes. I have no problem paying state sales tax and in fact think everything should be taxed so that those who get huge tax refunds or take advantage of tax sponsored programs contribute to paying for said programs but to only tax one group of "nasty" folk when so many others also do harm to themselves and cost the state and insurance cariers money, well they should be taxed as well.
I guarantee you when my 300 lb welfare mom neighbor has to pay $10 for a bag of potato chips that constitutes her mid morning snack, the cigarette tax will go away.
