I have Leffler, and I've never had a problem with them.

I shopped around with over 10 different oil companies. I do recall that Carlos Leffler was by far one of the highest per gallon. The cheapest that I found was Mellinger's Oil in Willow Street. They were nearly 30 cents cheaper than Leffler. This was back in the spring though. I am on a budget plan and pay $245/month. (they estimated last years useage which if you recall was a record high cost)

Good gravy! Do you have a single, stand-alone home? We have a small row home and pay $61/month, for oil and once-a-year cleaning. One year they had us at $31, so I think the actual is probably around $45. This is only the 4th year for the budget plan for us. Even with planning, I hated the oil bill I inevitably got around Christmas. The low heating price is the one thing I really like about living here. I have noticed a difference in the amount of times the furnace kicks on depending on if the heat is set at 68 or 70. I wouldn't think that 2 degrees would make that much of a difference, but it does!

I have a single family HUGE Victorian home-yes. The only reason that it's so high is because they estimated it off of last years useage and pricing which was through the roof if you recall. I had it filled 6 times and it averaged around $640 per filling. That comes to around $320/month. It's crazy-I know. I'm currently looking into converting to gas! LOL
Edited to add: I keep the thermostat at 67 when we're here and 64 when we aren't here.
