I don't know about anyone else but I work hard for my money and so do my parents. Yea we are very well off and I want to keep it that way. I don't want my money going to some lazy !profanity! with no job, my dad worked hard to build up his business.

And here is a clue........stop listening to the leftnuttery mainstream media, and think for youself for a change.

(BTW, I will confess that I didn't think for myself with the word "leftnuttery". I borrowed it from Gil Smart, just changed it a little.)

You are right AF, we need to support our country's decision.
But don't expect morons like Kid Dynamite (what ever that name means) to accept the fact that McCain supporters could feel this way.
He needs to fight more, I don't think he can be happy even for his own candidate.

PS: Hey Kid, please send more personal messages to me, your hate spews make me laugh. You are a loser,so keep taking your meds,(the prescribed kind) you'll feel better and go farther in life. And you may make some friends, DB.

Not sure what your business is, but regardless of how hard your dad or the rest of your family worked, there's a good chance your business would be nothing without customers like the rest of us. If we can't afford to visit your business and spend what little money we make on your goods/services/etc - it really won't matter how hard you work. I'm not saying. I also work hard as does my husband, and I wouldn't consider us "poor" but we're also far from "well off"... but if things don't start to change, we won't be able to spread our income around because very little of it will be considered disposable. I loose, you loose, we all loose. Regardless of your personal thoughts, feelings, beliefs - we are all connected and we need to start realizing that!

I am absolutely ecstatic Obama is president elect. No one will kill that joy for me. The haters will always hate. They will never see any good in someone who represented who they voted 'against'.

To illustrate, however, how a republican might feel today.......just imagine, if you will...how many democrats and people who voted for Kerry and so forth have felt the last 8 yrs. We bit the bullet and accepted President Bush as president. Now the shoe is on the other foot....

Now, off to watch THE VIEW soon. That show ought to be *interesting* today.

QUOTE (machiavelli @ Nov 4 2008, 10:33 PM) *
do obama fans even know who truly is? perhaps not, beginning with this: Barack Hussein Obama is not half black. If elected, he would be the first Arab-American President, not the first black President. Barack Hussein Obama is 50% Caucasian from his mother's side and 43.75% Arabic and 6.25% African Negro from his father's side. While Barack Hussein Obama's father was from Kenya, his father's family was mainly Arabs.. Barack Hussein Obama's father was only 12.5% African Negro and 87.5% Arab (his father's birth certificate even states he's Arab, not African Negro). From....and for more....go to..... [link to www.arcadeathome.com] some of Obama's Not Exactly's: 1.) Selma ALABAMA Got Me Born - NOT EXACTLY, your parents felt safe enough to have you in 1961 - Selma had no effect on your birth, as Selma was in 1965. (Google'Obama Selma' for his full March 4, 2007 speech and articles about its various untruths.) 2.) Father Was A Goat Herder - NOT EXACTLY, he was a privileged, well educated youth, who went on to work with the Kenyan Government. 3.) Father Was A Proud Freedom Fighter - NOT EXACTLY, he was part of one of the most corrupt and violent governments Kenya has ever had. 4.) My Family Has Strong Ties To African Freedom - NOT EXACTLY, your cousin Raila Odinga has created mass violence in attempting to overturn a legitimate election in 2007, in Kenya. It is the first widespread violence in decades. The current government is pro-American but Odinga wants to overthrow it and establish Muslim Sharia law. Your half-brother, Abongo Oba ma, is Odinga's follower. You interrupted your New Hampshire campaigning to speak to Odinga on the phone. Check out the following link for verification of that....and for more. Obama's cousin Odinga in Kenya ran for president and tried to get Sharia Muslim law in place there. When Odinga lost the elections, his followers have burned Christians' homes and then burned men, women and children alive in a Christian church where they took shelter. Obama SUPPORTED his cousin before the election process here started. Google Obama and Odinga and see what you get. No one wants to know the truth. http://www.godlikeproductions.com/forum1/message558009/pg1 please at least google of some of these points and try to not click on the obama based factcheck.org, choose a couple sites to compare. Obama's Not Exactly's: 9.) I Was Fluent In Indonesian - NOT EXACTLY, not one teacher says you could speak the language. 10.) Because I Lived In Indonesia, I Have More Foreign Experience - NOT EXACTLY, you were there from the ages of 6 to 10, and couldn't even speak the language. What did you learn, how to study the Koran and watch cartoons. 11.) I Am Stronger On Foreign Affairs - NOT EXACTLY, except for Africa (surprise) and the Middle East (bigger surprise), you have never been anywhere else on the planet and thus have NO experience with our closest allies. 12.) I Blame My Early Drug Use On Ethnic Confusion - NOT EXACTLY, you were quite content in high school to be Barry Obama, no mention of Kenya and no mention of struggle to identify - your classmates said you were just fine. 13.)An Ebony Article Moved Me To Run For Office - NOT EXACTLY, Ebony has yet to find the article you mention in your book. It doesn't, and never did, exist. 14.) A Life Magazine Article Changed My Outlook On Life - NOT EXACTLY, Life has yet to find the article you mention in your book. It doesn't, and never did, exist. 15.) I Won't Run On A National Ticket In '08 - NOT EXACTLY, here you are, despite saying, live on TV, that you would not have enough experience by then, and you are all about having experience first. http://www.godlikeproductions.com/forum1/message558009/pg1
Do you really think anybody cares about this BS. Anybody?

It's really amazing to see people not "getting" the meaning of Obama's win tonight. This is a truly amazing, defining moment in America's history, and it seems, sadly, that quibbling over whose taxes will go up has eclipsed the magnitude of Obama's election for many of the people contributing here. And that people are actually still peddling that he's an Arab or a Muslim is just sickening. He's neither, and the fact that people feel comfortable spewing the "He ain't white, and he got a funny name" point of view (very thinly veiled with just slightly better grammar) is really sad. Anyone who keeps mentioning his middle name or with whose name his name rhymes are either of low intelligence or they're racists -- or both.

Just accept it -- despite what you've been told, he's not going to raise your taxes unless you have more than $250,000 in taxable income. How many of you will that even apply to? He's in favor of Socialism? Hardly. We already have tax brackets, with higher-income people paying more, so the concept of "spreading the wealth" is not new. He's not going to take your guns. He goes to church. He loves his wife and kids. He went to Harvard and didn't graduate to go run a corporation or become some zillionaire CEO -- he went to work in city neighborhoods to make a difference. How many of us can say that our life's work has been about helping people? He loves this country -- and his election means that we can truly tell our kids that ANYONE can grow up and become president. Until now, that was really only true for little white boys, and look at the mess the latest little white boy and his pals have made!

Tonight we've turned an important, positive page in this country, and anyone who doesn't see and appreciate that has to look deep inside themselves and ask why -- and what they're really afraid of.

YES..COULDN'T OF SAID IT BETTER MYSELF.

So now what are you Repubs gonna talk about? Any of you plan on moving to Canada or Mexico maybe?

You know what, I've never heard a republican make a "moving out of the country" because of an election, yet I hear it often from the dems.
