Ms. Snavely is drawing wild assumptions based on incorrect conclusions.
1. All of the the current and virtually all of the former elected county officials oppose home rule. They oppose it because they know how county government works. The only two GSC members on the commision who were former elected officials both also opposed this charter.
2. The GOP committee opposes this charter for many, many reasons - taxes are but one of many.
This charter hurts Republicans, crushes Democrats and usurps power from the people.
