Wishful thinking of Dems hoping and praying that all Hillary needs is a carrot.
She would be confirmed, but I wonder who will crucify her more the Dems or republicans. Would be fun to watch!
Payback will be big. Not to speak badly of St. Teddy, but I remember Justice Roberts making Kennedy look like a fool during his confirmation hearings. Guess that Hah-Vahd degree did not help there.

I dunno. Aren't supreme court justices supposed to have sterling reputations for honesty and ethics? There's too much water under that particular bridge with the Clintons to make Mrs. Clinton an easily confirmed justice. If I were her, I wouldn't want to go through that. It would be bad enough being denied the nomination for presidency, but to be raked over the coals by a senate nominating commitee on top of that?
But then, I don't have any such ambitions, so I can't really imagine what some people will put themselves through just to gain power or prestige.
Cynic on a scooter.

I'm looking at the emotional impact. I can't really understand what is so important about having a political position that one would allow themselves to be put through so much in order to have it.
Not for me thanks.

You're kidding? She was never exonerated. She wasn't prosecuted. That's an important distinction.
