I know several couples who would have been very happy and willing to adopt this child however it seems to me that too many irresponsible mommies are choosing to keep their babies because THEY CAN and not putting them up for adoption as THEY SHOULD.
Walk downtown someday and watch all the young women wheeling baby carriages when they should be in school or at work but they are not because of that bundle of joy in the carriage. That little baby is their free ride to live free and prosper. They will never marry thier boyfriend because then the welfare checks stop coming so they live with the boy have more babies and the cycle continues. I have seen it first hand. As long as the government promotes childbirth while penalizing those who use birth control and do not have children these situations will continue and my wonderful cousin will continue to wait for a baby to love and nurture in a two parent suburban home because girls would rather live on welfare than give their child a real future.
