I don't hate Charlie Smithgall, Ted Darcus, Dave Hixson, Gib Armstrong, Mike Sturla, Nevin Cooley, Dale High, or the other politicians and plutocrats I strongly disagree with. I know some of these are really decent individuals.
On the other hand, as a Christian I CANNOT support someone who has clearly sinned in their conduct of public affairs. It would be a sin for me to support a public official who has clearly violated the public trust.

This is exactly why I could not support John Kerry in the last election. I believed that his views on abortion were sinful and it would have been a sin for me to support him.
Just to clarify for those that don't remember, Kerry believes that life begins at conception and also believes in a woman's right to choose. To me, he clearly advocated murder...

That is correct, they do. Some believe it is from acual conception and yet others believe it is from the time there is a heartbeat. That's what separates pro-life from pro choice-where the beginning is perceived.

So you base your entire vote on one wedge issue? And because GW was pro-life you voted for him? Theres more to this world than abortion and to vote on that single issue alone i believe is a disservice. Although your doing exactly what all the politicos want you to do. Rather than look at the whole picture, look at one thing? Funny you have a president now that has no problem killing innocent people. I thought he was pro-life?? Doesn't that mean all life?

So, basically, it appears that you don't agree with killing unborn children but it's okay to kill grown adults?

Good point, but begs the question. Why are the same people, who are opposed to killing in war, perfectly okay with killing unborn people?

I thought that the people that supported abortion believed that life begins at birth.......
Most do, Kerry was different. It was a shock to me especially knowing that he is a Catholic as am I.
How do you make that giant leap? Funny I don't remember saying that I based my entire vote on one issue.
Do you really think that you have the right to tell me, or anyone else for that matter, how to make their decision on their choice for President? Since it's a free county and since I take the time to research and analyze my choices, and since I vote according to my conscience shouldn't it be my right to vote any way I want?

I don't think its ok with killing unborn people. My thing is as another human being i can't force my belief as to what someone else should or shouldn't do with their body. Thats why its called pro-choice not pro-death. I don't agree with abortion, but there are cases where it hink it should be allowed.
And i also find it funny the people that are sooo against abortion are the same people that want to cut funding to help people in need. Less money to social programs etc. Either way you end up paying for it. Whether your supporting a baby born to a crackhead mother because she couldn't get an abortion or your supporting the crackhead and the baby. There are no simple awnsers to any of these questions. And do alittle research about what used to be done before abortion was legal, women that wanted to get rid of babies usually found a way, and that usually ended up costing them their lives.

You were the one saying thats why you didn't vote for him? I didn't put words in your mouth. You can vote for whoever you feel like, i could care less. My point was that if you were basing your vote on just one issue i really don't think thats quite right. And thats my opinion. And like i said its funny a president who says hes prolife goes and starts a war that kills 100s of thousands of civilians.
