Gee, Bush wants to bring Osama to justice for 911 before he leaves office. He's doing a heck of a job
Thanks to Bush's hubris the Taliban is regaining power in Afghanistan and fundamentlists are causing trouble in Pakistan.
He just might get to see his legacy before he shuffles off this mortal coil, the legacy of a complete and utter failure.

Gee, Bush wants to bring Osama to justice for 911 before he leaves office.
Had GW Bush simply allowed the professional U.S. military to do their job in Afghanistan, instead of tying their hands THEN pulling them out - and sending them to Iraq - before their job was finished, this Osama Bin Whatever issue would have been settled many years ago.

I love it when these people in the White House are continually surprised by the blatantly obvious.
Following on the heels of the Senlis Council report which said the Taliban were closing in on Kabul, the Bush administration is now coming to the realization that fighting a full-blown insurgency with an undersized and overstretched military is hard work. And slowly but surely, they're beginning to realize that choosing to fight two of them at the same time was a really, really stupid idea:

Gosh, Stewie, I'd like to give you an answer but it looks like when you were foaming at the mouth some of your drool shorted out your keyboard.

We were supposed to do most of the heavy lifting in Afghanistan, we were the ones attacked. Why should the other countries involved take up our slack when George decided to abandon the quest to biring Osama to justice?
Iraq was going to be the showcase for dick Cheney/neo-con republican ideas of democracy. Government services and all the utilities were going to be privatized.
Only fly in the ointment was Iraqis weren't about to let us substitute one of our thug dictator puppets for another.
