George W. Bush equates Iraq troops to a comma.

"I like to tell people when the final history is written on Iraq, it will look like just a comma because there is -- " --George W. Bush, interview with CNN's Wolf Blitzer, Sept. 24, 2006
John McCain calls on Bush to apologize:
"Commas may be good for punctuation, but they've never defended our freedom. President Bush owes an apology to the many thousands of Americans serving in Iraq, none of them who are commas. Americans from all backgrounds, unlike commas, take seriously their duty to our country, and risk their lives today to defend the rest of us.
The suggestion that those in Iraq are just a comma is an insult to every soldier serving in combat, and should deeply offend any American with an ounce of appreciation for what they suffer and risk."
Dennis Hastert also rebuked President Bush:
QUOTE
Bush equated 2,813 dead soldiers to a comma.
Okay....now tell me, which is worse?
Minimizing the deaths of 2813 soldiers.....soldiers that are only dead because of this man's stupidity.....or saying that it would be best to get an education because dying in a stupid man's unnecessary war is not the best choice to insure a bright future?
