Now, now....don't lose hope. My family decided a long time ago to stop the crazy Christmas shopping. We only buy things for the children, and don't go overboard with that either. We make a lot of homemade gifts. We just relax and enjoy the season. No more stress about money or shopping. It's great.

Ditto -- my family has done the same thing for the past 2 years. I've enjoyed the season even more now that I'm not running around like a madman going into debt.

Yes, but someone made that homemade tie! They took the time to make it just for you. That means something doesn't it? Take it out every once in a while and wear it around the house. You'll feel good!
