Yeah, glad you could show your appreciation to a person that did one hell of alot for New Orleans and headed one of the biggest disaster relief efforts ever.
I think Democrats need their heads examined.
But at least Brown was already headed for the private sector in the late fall of this year.
When is his resignation effective? Not sure. But I bet it will be the late fall, as he previously anticipated leaving FEMA to go to the private sector.
Just another wild slant throwing this whole thing further into a political game of some sort for Democrats. Guess they couldn't wait for the next terrorist attack so this would have to do.
I don't "blame" Mike Brown for wanting to get out. I honestly cannot blame him.
If I could go to a deserted island far away from all these on the looney left, I might consider it.

Can you say... 'S C A P E G O A T' ?
The man took the blame for lots of things that were out of his control. Even Brian Williams admits the press finally had a crisis that they could really shake a bone with. Like a good soldier Brown took the bullet that was aimed (incorrectly IMHO) at the Chief of Staff. He took it like a man. Despite the best plans, sometimes things just don't gel the way they should and there are lots of people that share the responsibility including the egomaniac Mayor of NOLA who we can forgive since he's under a lot of stress these days. A pretty incredible catastrophe-- on many levels and I believe when the dust settles (or more correctly the Toxic Gumbo drains away) history will show that all involved did the best they could with an impossible situation.

Michael Brown might have done the best he could and the road to hell is paved with good intentions. He had no business being in charge of FEMA. But he took the job and did so with a padded resume so he deserves any and all the s**t piled on him.
