I have fond memories of going to Washington Senators games back in the late sixties and early seventies.
Lancaster is one lucky town. THREE major league teams to choose from: Philadelphia, Baltimore and now DC. All within a day's trip.

This is not a done deal - expect strident legal challenges from Orioles owner Peter Angelos, based on "protecting" the market for his team.
Two different Senators franchises have wandered off in the face of indifference in the past, so I'm not holding my breath for this latest DC team to do well at the gate. Still, virtually any move should make the team more lucrative than it was in Montreal.

Donuts. Is there anything they can't do?

Downtown Baltimore is a far cry for DC. I haven't seen anything about where it will be placed, but I'd much rather get lost in Baltimore than DC. We went to a preseason Eagles game this year and it was very nice to park fairly close to the stadium and not have to worry about being mugged on the way to the game. I don't think you could say the same of DC.

Ah yes another sport in DC....so what. Of course living half way between DC and Baltimore I've heard all the stuff about Angelos and all the stuff about Mayor Williams. People are already protesting the SE sight for the new stadium because it will take their house and crumble it up into bricks to build it. There is no room in this city for a new stadium, let them play at RFK and build up the area around it. That neighborhood isn't so bad anymore, I used to drive through it every night on the way home, but that was five years ago before I found the MARC train.
If you are going to come to RFK to a game, take the Amtrak from Lancaster then the metro from New Carrollton Amtrak Station. RFK is on the Orange line.

Every day in some small way I will find a way to make them pay.
