I called my primary care physician today (Friday October 23) and was informed that they are OUT of the REGULAR flu shot vaccine and have no idea when they will get a new supply. They are a high volume group (meat market) serving a wide demographic in the city and county... and apparently nobody's getting either at this point in time.
Regarding SWINE FLU (after a chuckle) the nurse said they have NONE and NO IDEA when or IF they will be getting the Swine flu vaccine. So much for protecting yourself against the epidemic.
My daughter got her H1N1 vaccine at CHOP last week but she's on the high risk list and was among the first to get them.
But I am not aware as of this date of anybody who has received their Swine Flu shots.
What is your experience getting the vaccinations?
LNP: This is newsworthy information! While the media is crowing all over about Swine Flu and the CDC has been moaning about this for nearly a year now, it's amazing how little protection the public has been provided.
Comments anybody?

I'm not sure how accurate the poll will be. I do not intend to get either shot, but I had to vote in the first portion to have my vote count. Government conspiracy? I don't know about that. I just don't want the danged shots. BTW, I was recently at the doc, she asked if I wanted a shot. I told her no, I never get them. She confessed that she didn't get them either.

Some people are unable to get them because of allergies.

I got the regular seasonal flu shot at the personal care home where I work. As a health care worker it is important for me to get it yearly.
As for H1N1, unless my employer makes it mandatory I won't be getting it.

Not getting either. I couldn't vote in the Poll though because it wouldn't let me leave the first question blank.
If people saw the ingredients that were in the flu shots, and the H1N1 shot, they probably wouldn't get them.

Live from your heart! You will be absolutely effective.
End the Federal Reserve!! The whole purpose they were created was to stabilize prices and increase employment. ??? Can we start acting like adults about this already?? Abolish it!
How? Prepare for disengagement, then, refuse to participate.

For me it was free at work, the seasonal flu shot. If and when the H1N1 vaccine is available I'll try to get that too. Who wants to miss work for a week or more with the flu in this economy?

Remember, not that an emergency has been declared, there are so many things that can be done to make the vaccine avialable.
Like we can import more (most ingredients already do) from China - we know how well their quality control is.
