On that note, there's a new movie being slowly released called 'Paranormal Activity' that's being touted as the next 'Blair Witch' and scarriest movie in a decade. At a recent test screening, 35 people left the theater during the showing because they were scared out of their wits.

I want to see this movie but where nearby can we expect to see it? I notice its not playing in Manor... |

Closest place I can find that movie is playing is King of Prussia! Im wondering why there is no showing of it in this neck of the woods....if Manor will eventually get it. I've read many reviews...very , very good ones. It seems to be (unlike so many of the current ones) a GOOD , GENUINELY SCARY 'scary movie'!

I hadn't heard about this movie, so I went to its website. There's nothing better than a scary movie that doesn't have to rely on cutting people apart or just being gross. Evidently the movie will be released on a larger scale once it gets 1,000,000 demands on Facebook.

I fully agree...seems so many movies substitute gore for genuine 'build up' fright. Take THE CHANGLING for instance w/ George C. Scott. That movie was really scary & didn't rely on gore...relied on a lot of theatrics, music, build up. Things today's movies lack. Gory =gross...NOT necessarily 'scary'. |

Demand your right to see this movie locally! (IMG:http://talkback.lancasteronline.com/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) I think "Rosemary's Baby" is one of the best scary movies of all, and, unless I am forgetting something, there was nothing gory in it. Movies like "Child's Play" (with Chuckie) just make me laugh, because they are so stupid. There's no way I'd ever see one of those gross "Saw" movies--that's just sick. |
